Review-The War on Christmas by Bodie Hodge
The War on Christmas: Battles in Faith, Tradition and Religious Expression by Bodie Hodge.
This beautiful, larger, paperback book compiled by Hodge contains chapters by several different authors that give us a unique perspective on what Christmas and the holidays is all about. The book covers the many misconceptions of Christmas, origins of Christmas, when Jesus was really born and many other very interesting facts about the holiday. It covered some of the reasons why the author feels there is a war on Christmas but more information about why we celebrate the season like we do and the facts about why there is a holiday. Some of the chapters are a little "preachy" and seem to more directed to Christians. But you still get a sense of the purpose of why Christmas is so important.
I received my copy of this book from Handlebar Publishing in exchange for this honest review. All opinions are my own.
