This book is not what I expected at all. I guess after reading the title and back cover I was expecting real answers to real questions about faith. But to my surprise this book does more to make me ask more questions and dig deeper into my own feelings about faith. It is a memoir of Andrea's life and the doubt and skepticism that she had as she grew older. Each chapter is a challenge in her life and I related to almost all of them in one way or another. Yes we want the answers but with questioning ourselves we find a true and applicable answer that works for us. I would recommend this book if you are going through a time of doubt and you will understand that many are right there with you but it doesn't mean that you have lost your faith. Here is one quote from the book that I love, "Faith directed me not away from but into my doubt, into those deep spaces of God's dwelling".
I was provided a copy of this book by Zondervan and Handlebar for my honest review.

The Jesus experiment by Bill Perkins
Bill Perkins gives us a test to discover for ourselves, in a personal way, whether Christ's simple promise is true. In his 12 week study, which includes questions to challenge you to discover how you can become more like Jesus, you can learn more to be like him in faith, character and relationships.
This really was a 12 week journey. I found so many moments when reading this book that I had to stop and analyze my own life. I had a few "light bulb" moments I call them when you realize that with just a small change in your life things can be so much better. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend for anyone who feels their life is out of control or just need some direction. He doesn't slam you in the face with the information, it is more of a self analysit of your own life and how you can have peace through doing as Jesus did.
Please note I received this book free of charge from Tyndale House Publishers, through their blogger reviewing program, in exchange for my honest review. The opinions stated in this review are my own. I was not required to provide a positive review.
